UNO’s college radio station, MavRadio.FM hosts a live concert in conjunction with the National College Radio Day campaign Friday, Oct. 5 at 8 p.m. Three area artists are set to perform in the Milo Bail Student Center ballroom with the goal of creating an awareness of the important role college radio plays in society. Featured band, indietronic dance rock band, State Disco, is coming off their first Maha Festival performance and bassist Jared Bakewell said, “It's pretty rad to get offered another cool show like UNO's College Radio Day. Opportunities like this are important for an Omaha band like ours and it's great to see the support for local music, art, and culture." State Disco released their debut record in February. The College Radio Day opener, Grace Titus, is a 14-year-old Central High School student and the evening’s final performer is UNO tennis player and renowned electronic dance music (EDM) artist Razvan “DJ Grig” Grigorescu.
