Tyler Joseph, lead vocalists, is told to be similar to their past sound with some more upbeat lyrics
and reflects on relevant topics like the COVID-19 pandemic and misinformation in the media.
Josh Dun is the drummer and percussion of the band contributing the main instrumentals to their
tracks.
Kaylea, a fan of the band for multiple years, has also seen them live in concert. Listen as she

To fully address the role it plays in Omaha, our reporters couldn't ignore nearly hundred year old legislation passed by our federal government in FDR's New Deal. The consequences of redlining are pronounced in this city. Residents experienced two "Red Summers," the first in 1919 when an African American man, Will Brown, was falsely accused of assaulting a white woman and subsequently lynched by an angry mob. The second, in 1966, when an off-duty white police officer shot and killed 19-year-old Eugene Nesbitt, and African American man. Finally, in May 2020, tensions poured onto the streets once again as the nation protested what they said was police brutality and structural racism. The voices of these Omahans highlight story of a city divided.
